Amsterdam Arts

Amsterdam is well known for its Arts, as one of the most important cultural and artistic centers of northern Europe. Art galleries play a major role on the rich cultural scene of Amsterdam in its theatres, concert halls, museums, libraries, design centers, and periodical events such as cultural festivals and art fairs. Amsterdam's galleries present the most recent and creative paintings, graphics, photography, new Media. A walk down the most populated streets of the center of Amsterdam on especially summer weekends on bright sunny days, or on the infamous "Queen's Day" Festival in April, can often be like touring some of Europe's best artists. There is a special feeling of freedom which Amsterdam Life seems to inspire. Of course a walk by any of Amsterdam's Coffeeshops may clue one in on at least one of the reasons why. Once a year in the spring an art fair of recent works in visual arts - Kunst RAI Amsterdam takes place in Amsterdam.
